Return-to-Duty Process

For EMPLOYERS and DERS

If your employee violated DOT regulations

Federal law requires a qualified DOT Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) before an employee can return to a safety-sensitive position.

Sue Hatten, SAP, SUDP, NCAC1, serves all DOT-regulated industries — trucking, aviation, rail, transit, pipeline & maritime — with same-day response to every call..

FOR EMPLOYEES

If you have a violation of the DOT federal regulations

You will need a Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) to guide you through the steps necessary for the Return-to-Duty process, so you can return to work.

You are in the right place.

What is a SAP

A Substance Abuse Professional evaluates employees who have violated a DOT drug or alcohol regulation and makes education and/or treatment recommendations as part of the Return to Duty process. And then guides employees/employers through the six steps necessary to return to duty.

Why New Day SAP?

My goal is to help employees get back to their work safely. I know what kind of impact an interruption to your job can have. Whether your workplace is on the road, in the air, on the railways, or on the water, I can help you navigate what seems like a complex process — one simple step at a time — so you can get back to work and be in good standing.

I offer an affordable, timely, professional return-to-duty program for all clients. I‘ll return your call promptly, so we can begin the process right away.

New Day SAP Services is accredited and has been providing SAP services to the Department of Transportation since 2013.

If you have been removed by your employer from performing safety-sensitive functions because of a DOT regulation violation, an SAP evaluation will be necessary — and I can assist you through the entire process.
